What did you find? - electroacoustic fixed media (2007)

"What did you find?" was composed between EMS Stockholm and the Music Department at Newcastle University between Autumn 2006 and Spring 2007. Is uses sound recordings of excessive bow pressure on a viola, high frequency feedback from the Hopkins Studio in Newcastle (this is high class feedback, Genelec speakers and Neumann mics), and some convolution filtering of the sounds of my commute from Nacka to EMS on the Stockholm underground system. The inside of a viola, the dysfunctional studio environment, and the enclosed urban spaces of Stockholm come together to invite the listener to "find things".
